If you want to pursue Computer Animation as a career, you will need a wide array of computer graphic skills. You should know both 2D and 3D graphic programs. 2D graphic programs include Photoshop, Illustrator, Krita, or Photopea. You should also know how to create both bitmap and vector 2D graphics. 3D graphic programs include Blender or Maya. You should be able to then create animations in both 2D and 3D space. 2D animations can be done in Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, Blender, Pencil2D, and Krita. 3D animations can be created with Blender or Maya. It will also help to take some Fine Arts classes as well to round out your artistic ability.
